Nahe der L 1120 zwischen Mettelberg und Weidenhof wurde am Mittwochnachmittag gegen 13.30 Uhr in einem Waldstück ein Brand bemerkt. Die alarmierte Feuerwehr, die mit 6 Fahrzeugen und 30 Einsatzkräften ausrückten, konnte die betroffene Fläche in einer Größenordnung von ca. 200 Quadratmetern ablöschen. Personen kamen nicht zu Schaden. Die Brandursache ist unklar. Die örtliche Polizei hat die Ermittlungen wegen einer möglichen Brandstiftung aufgenommen und bittet unter Tel. 07192/5313 um Zeugenhinweise.
